Matt has been with Ace Progress over 4 years now. At the store we call him Mr. Fixit because he has an amazing ability to help customers when they need advice with projects. He can look at a drawing, listen to a description, or examine a pile of parts and design a solution to the problem. Matt specializes in plumbing, but can also handle any type of construction project; doors, windows, cabinetry, appliances, metal fabrication, automotive repair, lamp wiring, lock rekeying, small engine repair, and just about anything else asked of him.
In his previous career Matt worked in aerospace. He handled airframe maintenance, aluminum fabrication, and cockpit refurbishing of Boeing 727, 737, and 757 aircraft. He has also worked in the automotive industry and has extensive experience in plumbing. In that industry he has experience in main line/meter connections and troubleshooting, re-pipes, water heaters – dishwasher – garbage disposal installations, and has even done boiler work. Matt recently completed training at Stihl Northwest and received his Silver Certification. He’s authorized to handle repairs of your Stihl power equipment. He does all of this and has a college education in graphic arts.
Some fun facts about Matt are that he was a semi-professional skate boarder for 22 years, plays blues music, and when he’s not helping folks at Ace, is a Disc Golf enthusiast. He participates in lots of tournaments and naturally, he even manufactures the special baskets necessary for the sport.
We’re extremely fortunate to have Matt at Ace Progress and we’re sure many of you have already gotten help from him. If not, please stop in and say hello when you get a chance. Bring that bucket of parts you’ve never been able to reassemble. He’ll figure it out for you.
